Hands of Love: Anti-aging Hands

Hands, what would we do without them. They are such an integral part of our body and as we age and look down at our hands we can see they’ve been through a lot.

Hands, what would we do without them. They are such an integral part of our body and as we age and look down at our hands we can see they’ve been through a lot.
Hands by the time we hit our late 30’s we’ve done some serious damage. Some might have sun spots, scars, fine lines, wrinkles and loose skin. Often the skin on our hands are worse off because we are so rough with them and neglect them. So many of our Face Plus Medispa patients always shamefully admit they forget to moisturise and protect (from sun) their hands.
If you’re looking down at your hands and you are guilty of the above statement, don’t worry you’re not the only one. As I type this blog I took a moment to look at my 30 something year old hands and just applied some cream on my hands, in winter you may find that you need to apply at least three times a day.
If you have reached that point where moisturising cream just can’t save you, we have just the treatment package for you.
The “Goodbye Aging Hands” package targets the following concerns:
Age spots
Creped Skin
Dryness
Prominent veins
Texture and tone
Brightness
Lack of elasticity
Healing time

The package contains three components:
1. Home care
Homecare is as important as the in-clinic treatments. The homecare that we have created in collaboration with Ultra MD and Ultraceuticals is tailored to refresh and brighten complexion, intensely hydrate and soothe whilst supporting the barrier repair function, plump, smooth and protect the skin. You will be required to use all four products post treatment. This kit is called the “Ultimate Post Care Essentials”.
2. PRP
You will be required to go through the PRP treatments prior to the Lime Light (IPL) treatments. You can read about the extraction and treatment process of PRP here
This component will:
Improve skin colour, elasticity, tone and thickness
Remodelling of the collagen fibres which will assist in the plumpness of the skin
Long term smoothing of fine lines and wrinkles
You will also see faster healing following aesthetic treatments
Overall rejuvenation and revitalisation of the skin will be visible following your first treatment. The two PRP treatments must be performed four weeks apart of optimum results.
3. Lime Light (IPL)
IPL is a laser treatment design specifically to target discolouration on the skin such as pigmentation, sun spots and redness. You can read about the laser treatment process here
Following the laser treatment you will find that the pigmentation will float to the surface of the skin, the more you can see the better! Once this process is complete it, the imperfections will begin to flake off revealing younger, revitalised skin!
In total, this treatment process will not take any longer than 3 months. Following the package, you must continue to moisturise and use sunblock on your hands on a daily basis.
