The Herbal Aktiv, as its name would suggest is a patented formula of dried, crushed herbs to peel away skin and reveal plump new energised skin!

Why does it take 5 days you ask?

Day one: This is the first step, to have the facial to begin the process. The facial takes about 45 minutes to an hour. You will walk out of your facial looking flush and skin will be tingling!
Day two: Your dermal therapist will prescribe you with products to use at home:
Lotion – Soothe and protect the skin, relieves tension and provides hydration, reduce redness and irritation and contains anti-irritating, anti-inflammatory properties.
Moisturiser – Calm and soothe, improve skin resistance, re-hydrate and regenerate and works as an antiseptic, revitalising and nurturing for eczema.
Clear cream – A specialty cream with tea tree oil, reduces impurities from spreading and normalises sebaceous production. You will also see a reduction in redness and irritation, refined pores and hydrated skin.
Day three: You will continue to use the above at home products prescribed. Your skin will begin peeling on this day.
Day four: You will continue to apply the at home products. You will see a considerable amount of peeling. If you work in an environment that you may be uncomfortable with peeling skin, you may want to stay home. The peeling varies from patient to patient.
Day five: This will be the day that you are waiting for! You will return to Face Plus Medispa for your final facial. The final facial will remove all of the excess skin that may be present and reveal that new skin.
The treatment can be performed on a monthly basis if necessary but most of our patients find treatment every 6 months, greatly benefits their skin health and appearance.
