What is microblading?
Microblading is a manual, semi-permanent technique of hyper-realistic eyebrow drawing in which the shape of eyebrows is calculated according to facial morphology and golden proportion. The technique is intended for anyone over the age of 18 who wants to correct the aesthetic problems of their eyebrows.

How does the technician determine the shape of my eyebrows?
Symmetry is calculated using an eyebrow ruler. The eyebrow shape is calculated while the client has their eyes closed to ensure precision symmetry.

Anisa will then use a measurement app to photograph the client to double check her measurements before asking the client to review and comment on the proposed shape and size of the brows. Amendments will be made until the client is happy to proceed with the treatment.

What does the microblading treatment involve?
Microblading is a technique using a super-fine pen (technically, a bundle of 12 to 15 needles) to deposit pigment into skin. The tip is so fine, in fact, that it replicates hairstrokes. Strokes are always drawn in the direction of natural hair growth in order to achieve hyper-realistic eyebrows.

The needles reach only the superficial layers of the skin, which is what makes the method semi-permanent (versus permanent, like traditional cosmetic tattoos). Think of each stroke as a little paper-cut. Pain is minimal as the technician will numb the area with topical cream before the treatment. Microblading gives a very natural look and better simulates hair.

The treatment is done using sterile and disposable tools, while pigments are also of the highest standard.

Are the results instant?
Yes, the results are instant and you can return to work straight away, however, you must follow the post-care instructions and apply a cream frequently to help heal the eyebrows to avoid scabbing.
For some clients the inserted pigment can appear too dark during the first 5 to 7 days. If you think that pigment is too dark, do not try to fade it by yourself.

Be patient and wait for 7 days until it fades away naturally. After 7 days the pigment will loose up to 40% of its intensity.
Touch ups are done 1 month after the treatment at your complimentary follow up appointment as 10-15% of strokes are lost after the first treatment.

Is the treatment painful?
Pain during the treatment is relative. Scared clients usually feel stronger pain, while the other clients compare such pain with the one that they feel when plucking out their eyebrows. In addition, with women having period there is an increased sensitivity to pain, so it is not recommended to do the treatment while ladies have their period.  It is possible to use light anaesthetics, in the form of cream or liquid, to completely eliminate pain during the treatment.

How long will the results last for?
To determine how long the pigment will be retained depends mostly on the oiliness of the client’s skin. The oilier the skin the shorter the pigment retention is. Sweating and sun exposure also affect pigment retention.  On average, expected time until new refreshment of pigment is 10 to 12 months. If the skin is oily, it takes up to 6 months. Healing is completely done 28 days later and then it is necessary to add the pigment that was lost in the meanwhile. If the skin is problematic and oily, several such corrections can be made.

What is the post treatment care like for microblading?
Post-treatment care makes 70% of total treatment success. Conscientiously stick and adhere to the given advice, because if you don’t do that, you can lose up to 80% of drawn strokes. Rinsing and applying the cream is of great significance.

  • skin quality
  • post-treatment care
  • exposure to various external influences.

None of these factors are under the Artist’s control, thus providing any guarantee for the treatment is not possible.

Are you a suitable candidate for Microblading?
In order to successfully perform the treatment, the skin must not be in the regeneration process, i.e. it must not be damaged or in the recovery process.
Before the treatment always consult with your artist if you:

  • have problematic skin in the eyebrow area (ie. Acne, eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, pimples ect.)
  • have serious health issues
  • take certain medications
  • already have an old cosmetic tattooing on your eyebrows.

How should I prepare for my microblading appointment?
Abrasive treatments such as peelings, fruit acids, chemical peels, laser treatments and similar should be avoided a month before the treatment. Also, one month before the treatment, botox or fillers should not be used. Pigment is applied manually in the surface layer of the dermis. Pigment is determined according to the natural colour of the eyebrows and hair. After healing, pigment can become several nuances brighter compared to natural hair colour.
The following treatments are not recommended 30 days before the treatment:

  • botox and fillers
  • fruit or lactic acids
  • laser treatments
  • chemical peel
  • exposure to strong sunlight.
