What is Chin Augmentation?
Chin augmentation is a surgical procedure designed to enhance the shape, size, and projection of the chin. It is also known as genioplasty. The procedure involves using various techniques to improve the balance and proportion of the chin in relation to the rest of the face.
There are different approaches to chin augmentation, depending on the specific needs and desired outcome of the patient. One common method is the use of chin implants, which are made of biocompatible materials and come in different sizes and shapes. The implant is placed over the existing chin bone through a small incision either inside the mouth or under the chin.
