What is it?

Dermal fillers are cosmetic injectables used to restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. They are primarily used for facial rejuvenation purposes and are a popular non-surgical option for individuals seeking to reduce signs of aging or enhance certain facial features.

At Face Plus all of our Dermal Fillers are premium quality hyaluronic acid (HA), this substance, at different quality levels, is the most commonly used and widely available in Australia. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance found in the skin that helps maintain moisture and volume.

Face Plus is owned and operated by Specialist Plastic Surgeon Dr Scott J Turner.

Tear Trough Filler

Dark circles can be genetic or ethnic, and can make you look tired and sad. Tear trough filler is a superb treatment for this, but is often over done or done badly. Our experienced team are renowned for delivering the perfect dose and placement of product to treat these tear troughs.

Cheek Filler

Naturally, enhance your cheekbones and define your bone structure to give your face a lifted appearance. At Face Plus we pride ourselves on great cheek highlights. Too often, cheeks are done poorly or overdone. However, a considered precise cheek filler from our expert team can give you a divine cheek line to best suit your face shape.

Lateral Cheek Filler

Lack of lateral cheek line can give the face a flat ‘nothing’ outline. Again, discrete and exact filler placement can give you a lovely feminine mid-face highlight.

Nasolabial Fold Filler

Deep lines from the nose to the corner of the mouth can be ageing and also give a dour harsh look to the lower third of the face and mouth. Filler to these lines will make the area look smoother and younger to give an instantaneous freshness.

Lip Filler

Plump your lips by adding volume, shape and hydration for a naturally full lip. Lip filler is the most common filler treatment, but it is one that needs to be tailored for every unique lip shape. The volume, placement and product choices in the hands of an expert injector can create lovely, plump lips that can be the axis of a beautiful face.

Marionette Line Filler

Vertical lines down from the corners of the mouth are called ‘marionettes’. They are most aging and as such respond to filler treatment to give fantastic results.

Chin Filler

A diamond chin can create superb contour and balance for the whole face. Sometimes chins lack vertical height, sometimes projection which is important for the appearance of a defined jawline. The chin lends itself to more crosslinked filler that can last much longer.

Jawline Filler

Jawline filler can correct deficient or asymmetrical jaws to help create balance in the lower third of the face. It can also be used to treat early jowling and return a youthful lower face shape.

Filler Dissolver

Too often we see patients who have not trusted their precious face to an expert and have poor results. While fixing other people’s errors is not our favourite treatment, it is sometimes necessary to erase a poor outcome and begin again with an expert team you can trust.

What to expect

There is a detailed consultation with the cosmetic nurse or doctor to discuss treatment options based on the patient expectations. During the consultation the cosmetic nurse or doctor will assess your face, note asymmetry, and take photographs to document your cosmetic journey. Please communicate to your provider if you have a history of cold sores.
pregnant and breast-feeding woman are not suitable for any injectable treatment.

Before the Treatment

Schedule your injectable treatment at a time when side effects such as swelling and bruising will not disrupt your social obligations. Ensure you are not unwell or taking any antibiotic medications prior to treatment. Be aware that blood thinning medication and supplements can increase your risk of bruising. Alcohol is also to be avoided 24 hours pre- or post-injectable treatment, as it is also a blood thinner.

After the Treatment

Swelling, bruising, tenderness are common side effect of dermal filler treatments.
Do not apply anything to the skin until the next morning. Do not massage, touch, or manipulate the injection site. Avoid heavy exercise and alcohol on the day of your treatment.
Cosmetic fillers are long lasting, but not permanent. Longevity depends on the areas treated and your body’s metabolism.

If you experience any of the following symptoms, contact our office immediately: dusky/white discoloration near the injection site, unusual bruising, increasing pain.

Several factors will affect the clinical outcome of your surgery including your surgeon’s skills, the type and extent of your surgery, how you care for your wound, and how you adhere to post-surgical instructions. In general, the results of face surgery are permanent and can last for several years. However, you may need another surgery at some point in your life to maintain your younger-looking skin.
