Treatment Overview
Exclusive to Face Plus Medispa, this powerful treatment combines Dermapen with the Tensage Intensive Serum 40- a secretion containing growth factors extracted from the Cryptomphalus aspersa snail. This secretion helps stimulate the body’s own stem cells to form new, healthy skin cells.
This treatment is perfect for promoting skin repair & healing, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, enhancing skin tone, and contains growth factor benefits. Tensage serum 40 to help shorten healing time and optimize procedural outcomes and negative procedural side effects. Along with the dermapen it is very beneficial in stimulating collagen production and re-pairing and re-programming skin cells.

The Lowdown
What to Expect
Expect fresh, more beautiful skin within six weeks with improvements over the next 6-12 months. Immediate inflammatory reactions fade within 24 hours and are further eased with the use of topically healing minerals and vitamins – your therapist will guide you through an array of after care options.
Before the Treatment
Not suitable for anyone who is taking prescription acne or photosensitising medication such as Accutane, Doxycycline etc. Please avoid the following for at least two days before and after your Dermapen treatment: sun exposure, AHA’s, retinol, acids or active ingredients.
Discontinue any prescription Vitamin A or Hydroquinone 1 week before treatment. Not suitable for pregnant women.
Dermapen treatments are not suitable for patients experiencing active:
- Papulopustular rosacea
- Acne vulgaris stage 3-4
- Herpes simplex
- Warts
- Sclerorderma
- Bacterial/fungal infections
- Open lesions
- Solar keratosis
- Skin cancer
- Hemophilia
After the Treatment
There are no side effects from the serum as it is designed to reduce negative procedural side effects.
If side effects were to occur it would be the same as the dermapen side effects.
The most common being minor skin irritation immediately following the procedure. You may also see redness for a few days. Other side effects but highly uncommon are:
