The Lowdown
What to Expect
Our laser is non-invasive and can safely and discreetly treat your skin concerns. You can expect to see subtle yet consistent results after each treatment. We recommend a series of 4 to 6 treatments for optimal results. There is no downtime required and no unwanted side effects such as bruising, peeling or excessive skin irritation.
Before the Treatment
Not suitable for anyone who is taking prescription acne or photosensitising medication such as Accutane, Doxycycline etc.
No antibiotics or photo sensitising medication one week before treatment. This includes acne medication. No prescription creams including retinol, tretinoin, hydroquinone one week before treatment.
No self-tanners or sun tanning for 1 week before and after each treatment.
Always wear 30+ sun protection 1 week prior to and during any course of laser treatment.
A sun exposure assessment of treating skin area/s will be done by the technician at each session. Inform us with any changes to your health history or medications since your last appointment.
After the Treatment
Avoid sun exposure and use broad spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen to prevent further sun damage
Avoid heat – hot showers and tubs, saunas, sweating with exercise for 1-2 days
Avoid skin irritants (products containing tretinoin, retinol, benzoyl, peroxide, glycolic/salicylic acids, astringents) for a few days post treatment.
Notify us immedietly if you have any concerns (blistering, excessive redness/swelling).
